*It should be noted that for this bill the change of the logo
of the Bank of the Republic appears on the back.
It is announced that for the coming year a $50,000 issue of banknotes will appear. Likewise
the Bank of the Republic is in the process of eliminating three (3) zeros from the present
day peso in order to change to the new peso. This process is estimated to be finished
in the year 2003.
